The global hit song by Wizkid, Essence has gone even higher on the Billboard Hot 100 as it has now climbed to the no. 11 spot on the highly reputable chart, a new high for the song.

Wizkid’s Essence has climbed to No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, the highest point the song has reached since it’s debut on the chart back in July. This news was shared via Instagram on Tuesday, the 5th of October 2021.

Essence debuted at no. 82 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in July. This was after months of penetrating into the global music space. Since its debut, Essence has only gone higher and higher on the chart and this further buoyed by the release of the remix which featured American pop mega star, Justin Bieber. The song went down briefly after Drakerelease his latest album, Certified Lover Boy. However, Essence has proved it cannot be held down for too long and it has now attained a new high.

Appearing at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 makes Wizkid’s Essence song the highest charting Nigerian song on the reputable chart. It is also the first fully Nigerian song to debut on the Hot 100.
